Open Day in Museum

The society will be holding an Open Day on Friday 9th October from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. We have a new display on "Charting Western Port", which features the earliest maps of charting Western Port from George Bass to Commander Cox. It is 150 years since Cdr Cox charted Western Port, which took him three years. Thanks to John Jansson for putting the display together. Refreshments will be provided in the adjacent meeting room. We hope to see you there! The Charting Western Port display will be available for viewing during normal hours Thur and Sat 10 a.m. - 12 noon, and Sundays 2-4.30 p.m. during holidays for a gold coin donation for adults, free for children, students and members. The Open Day is free.
