Historical Society cataloguers settle into shared space with Genealogists

Last updated on 21-Dec-21

Our society is grateful to the Phillip Island & District Genealogy Society for reshuffling their rooms to make space for our filing and cataloguing activities during the time until the new Cultural Centre is built and both organisations can move into new rooms there. We have lots to do in the interim to make sure our files and other paper resources are ready to go into a new compactus system being provided by Bass Coast Shire Council in the new buildings storage/archival area for our museum. We are very excited and really looking forward to watching the new building take shape. Our shared rooms are also the new venue for our committee meetings, the first of which was held last month around a very different table to the antique table we gathered around in our former museum!
