Quarterly lunch meeting

The society will have its first quarterly meeting for 2019 on Wednesday 13 February at the Anzac room in the RSL, cnr Thompson Ave and Cowes-Rhyll rd starting at 12 midday. Cost for two course meal, tea and coffe plus raffle ticket is $20.  Drinks at bar prices. Speaker will be secretary and past curator of Churchill Island, Christine Grayden, speaking about "The Life and Times of Samuel Amess". Alderman Amess of Melbourne City Council built the homestead on Churchill Island in 1872 and led a life dedicated to his succesful building business, civic duties, family and leisure activities - a man of his times!
