Councilors visit our museum

Last updated on 21-Sep-15

Crs Clare Le Serve and Neil Rankine visited the museum this evening at the committee's invitation to learn about how we operate and to view the museum and the behind the scenes archive and storage areas of the museum. Other councilors will be visiting later on. The committee felt it was best to familiarise the Bass Coast Shire councilors with our operations and collection care so that they can make an informed decision when it comes to choosing a design for the redevelopment of the cultural and heritage centres. Clare and Neil were most supportive of our efforts, and were also pleased to see the results of various Bass Coast Shire community grants the society has procured over the years: arvhival quality shelving, computer upgrades, security system and reupholstering of our historic chairs amongst them. We are very grateful that Clare and Neil were able to find time out of their busy schedules to visit our museum and listen to our concerns.
