The society is once more participating in the National Trust Festival this year, which has a theme of "Having a Voice". The society has an audio visual display and associated photographic display based on extracts of the oral history talks given on radio 3MFM two years ago. Our display is called "Island Voices", and features the voices of Phillip Island and San Remo residents Cherry McFee, Anne Davie, Cefn Price, John and Laurie Dixon, Graeme Clauscen, Ted Jeffery, Ray Dickie, Fergus Cameron, Julie Box speaking on Dinnie David Justice and Christine Grayden reading memoirs of Samuel Jabez Pickersgill and Keith Grayden. The AV presentation goes for 30 minutes and will play continuously through the day. You are welcome to sit in a comfy chair and watch, or wander around the museum and listen while you explore. The photos are displayed in the museum as well. An Open Day will be held on Friday 5 May between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. at the museum, 89 Thompson Ave Cowes. Entry free on the day. We hope to see some of you there!
