Recently Phillip Island saw the Shearwater Festival back again, with music, dance, indigenous activities, street parade, and lots of art work supervised by Camille Monet with the five local schools to produce oversized puppets made of beachwashed litter, etc. The society joined in the fun, offering a paper shearwater flapping puppet activity for the children. We had 16 children participate and 9 parents come through to have a look around the museum. All had a good time. Looking forward to next year's Shearwater Festival. Photo shows three sisters with their paper shearwaters, and one of the giant puppets that joined the parade.
