PIDHS stalwart wins Anzac Award

Last updated on 25 April 2016

Congratulations to immediate past president of PIDHS John Jansson who today was awarded the Phillip Island Anzac Award for the amazing amount of research he has done on Phillip Island's WWI soldiers, and one nurse. He has traced about 100 servicemen and one woman who either left from Phillip Island, or came to live on Phillip Island after WWI. John has willingly shared his vast store of information with the community in displays in the society's museum and in joint exhibitions with the RSL. He is a true quiet achiever who is a thorough and sensitive researcher. Congratulations John! Well deserved!
