National Surfing Reserve Display

Did you know that Phillip Island has the only National Surfing Reserve in Victoria? Thanks to society President Graeme Clauscen for the material for the display. Graeme was on the working group which achieved getting the PI NSR, and he collects newspaper cuttings, posters etc, regarding the PINSR, surf life saving and surfing generally. He has made his newspaper clipping albums available to the society, and has worked with secretary Christine Grayden to put together a display regarding the creation of the reserve and surfing on Phillip Island. The display includes a 1920s surf  board on loan from society c/ee member Julie Box, and a surf board signed by many of the working group members and dignitaries at the launch of the reserve.
